Extreme G-Zus Ashcan

So, I released my newest ashcan this past weekend at the Ed Toy & Collectable show . It felt good to release something new. It's been a little while. The ashcan is titled The Adventures of Extreme G-Zus. It's meant as a comedy comic, which should be obvious from the title, I hope. It is my first attempt at a comedic themed comic book story. The ashcan is basically a collection of various contributions I've made to 24hr and 12hr challenges over the past couple years.

A lot of people have been asking me what my inspirations were for the character; Extreme G-Zus, or if he was based on anyone in particualar. Well besides the original Jesus. I kind of got the original inspiration from those energy drinking white dudes from the Harold & Kumar movies. I thought those over-the-top white dudes were hilarious and just a silly concept in general. I wanted to channel that same energy.

To me, the idea of an out-of-touch Jesus figure, trying to reach out to todays youth in an extreme fashion is funny. So I went with it. I didn't do much pre-planning with these stories. They sort of just came to me while staring at a blank sheet of  paper, desperately trying to think of ideas. All were done at Happy Harbors comics during their 24hr comic challenges.

Anyways, if you're interested in checking it out, the ashcan will probably be available through Happy Harbor comics shorty. I'm also going to make them available on-line as well as through the store on my website www.inducedcomcs.com .
